Bilthoven, 9 april 2007

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am interested in a copy of the drawing mentioned above, made by A. Henkel.

My greatgrandfather sailed on the Prince of Brunswick from 1793 till 1799 from the Netherlands to Paramaribo and back to Bergen (Norway). On my website www.meijenfeldt.nl there is more information about this journey, although in Dutch. I also have a bad copy of a painting of the Prince of Brunswick in the harbour of Paramaribo (attached).

Hopefully you could inform me about the possibilities of obtaining a copy and the price involved.

Thanks in advance,
Hugo von Meijenfeldt

Dear Mr Meijenfeldt

Thank you for your mail regarding Museum item number PAH0755

Regarding a photographic print of the above, many of the PAH items have not been photographed, however in this instance PAH0755 has been photographed and allocated Museum negative number X243 Negative X243 is black and white only and dates from the late 1960’s at which time the Museum’s Photography Section were only working in black and white. However, the original work is a pen and ink, black and wash grey, therefore it would not contain any great degree of colour.

Should you wish to order a print of X243 for private/personal use a copy of the Print Sales order form is attached which details order procedure, size, cost and delivery period. The preferred method to order would be to print the form, complete with credit card details and fax to the number quoted. Alternatively, the form can be posted. (The canvas option is best suited to images of oil paintings)

There is no visual reference of X243 available which we can attach to this mail, X243 is stored in the main negative store in another building near the Museum.

Thank you for your interest.
