Dear Frank Meyerfeldt,
Let me first apologise for (1) writing in English, (2) using your work e-mail address for a private matter and (3) perhaps approaching you for a second time.
I am looking for someone of the Meierfeldt and/or Meyerfeldt families in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern who is willing to inform me about their family history. Our family names are almost equal. My family history is that my greatgreatgrandfather is a natural son of the Swedish count von Meijerfeldt from Nehringen and Medrow. Nevertheless there is the possibility that we are related.
Since our jobs are in the same field – I am director for International Affairs of the Dutch Ministry for the Environment (VROM) – I took the liberty of approaching you. If you would prefer me to approach another relative, I am happy to do so.
