Dear Madam/Sir,

Excuse me for writing in English. You may respond in Swedish.

I studied you website and still have some questions. Normally I would pay you a visit, but the distance between us is more than 1400 km.

    1. Copper plates. A very long time ago in my young years (1983) I visited your Riddarhuset. Mr. Stiernspetz sr was in charge then. He showed me the two coat of arms of my (natural) ancestors: count Johan August Meijerfeldt (nr. 59) and Anders Meijerfelt (nr. 864). Mr. Stiernspetz jr. later sent me two analogue photographs. Did you digitalize the pictures in the mean time, like in the Riddarholmskyrkan?
    2. Sköldebrev. In the Riksarkivet I have found the sköldebref 1674 (Riksregistraturet B/412, folio 310), received a copy of the draft of the frijherre bref 1705 and found the grefwe bref 1714 (Riksregistraturet 1523-1718, B/671, folio 149v-158). I can understand that the Riddarhuset nobility letters with drawings and descriptions of the coat of arms are not open to the public. Did you or do you plan to digitalize them?
    3. Wax Stamps. Mr. Stiernspetz sr. was kind enough to take two of my family stamps out of your cupboards, put red wax on a card, warm it with a candle, and made two imprints. Are there perhaps more wax stamps of the Meijerfeldt family?
    4. China. I see there is a lot of ‘ostindiskt vapenporslin’ on your website. Do you have a register of all coats of arms and/or is the Meijerfeldt weapon on one or two of them?

In case you respond yes to any of my questions my next question is whether or not I can order and pay a scan (nrs. 1 and 2) or photograph (nrs. 3 and 4).

Kind regards,
Hugo von Meijenfeldt

Dear Sir/Madam,

On 26 November 2022 I wrote a letter to you (see below). Did you receive it and if yes, may I expect a response?

Thank you in advance,

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your questions. Sadly – I cannot find your email from 2022-11-26.

1. Yes, all the copper plates are now professionally photographed. Paper copies are of these are for sale in our webshop: https://www.riddarhuset.se/webbutik/fargfoto/

2. The original “Sköldebrev” for the baron (1705-07-12) and for the count (1714-03-03) are in the archives of the Finnish House of Nobility. We are currently digitalizing all the other “Sköldebrev” that are stored at the Swedish House of Nobility. Regarding the untitled family no 864 we have no information about the original diploma nor any transcription of it. Here is their (Finnish House of Nobilty) website: https://www.riddarhuset.fi/sv/start/

3. I attach two pictures of the seals in wax (probably those you already got). I found a lead seal of the untitled noble family, no 864. (In our collection we have only got the two stamps for count , no 59. No stamps for the baron nor the untitled family.)

4. No, sadly we have China/porcelain with coat of arms of Meijerfeldt.

For your information – we are test-launching a database (MINERVA). In the future it will (hopefully) contain much information (No information about Meijerfeldt in it now). https://minerva.riddarhuset.se/

Dear Madam/Sir,

In your webbutik you offer colour photos of coat of arms.

Is it possible to order digital pictures instead of colour photos?

If so, I am interested in two plates: Meijerfelt no. 864 and Meijerfeldt no. 59.

And if so, which price would you ask for these two digital pictures?

Thank you in advance for the response,
Hugo von Meijenfeldt

Stockholm, 28 februari 2023

Dear Hugo von Meijenfeldt,

Thank You for Your interest.

The pictures of the coat of arms in the Great Hall are only to be sold as physical photos, not digital copies. The price fore the pictures are 300 SEK each.
