Dear Madam, Sir,
Through this e-mail I take the liberty of approaching you in the English language. There is no problem to answer me in Swedish.
I am Hugo von Meijenfeldt from Bilthoven, the Netherlands. My ancestors in a straight line (be it with one natural birth in 1760) are the Swedish counts Meijerfeldt. Over the last 25 years I have researched the history of my family, wrote two books about it and published a Dutch website www.meijenfeldt.nl. I travelled to Sweden several times to study documents in Stockholm (Kungliga Biblioteket, Riksarkivet) and visit estates like Sövdeborg and Näsby slott. In my books and on my website I collect amoung other things pictures of my ancestors.
On your website I can see the pictures of the two last young counts Meijerfeldt in the Riksradinnarenkammare hanging above Eva de la Gardie and Claes Ekeblad. As far as I know there are more Meijerfeldt pictures at Stola: Brita Meijerfeldt- Barnekow (1700-1771) and perhaps Anna Catharina Horn-Meijerfeldt (1722-1779) or Lovisa Augusta Meijerfeldt-Sparre (1745-1817).
I would be most obliged if you could advise me how to obtain more information about and/or photographs of these pictures.

Hej!
Ursäkta att svaret dröjt – vi har varit i Stockholm en vecka.
Att vi har porträtt på några ur familjen Meijerfeldt på Stola beror på att vår sista grevinna var Brita Horn- Ekeblad. Ett porträtt på henne finns i Lilla matsalen, se vår websida www.stola.se.
I Vita förmaket har vi ett porträtt av hennes mormor Brigitte Meijerfeldt och i Riksrådinnans kammare hennes två kusiner, de unga grevarna Meijerfeldt.
Tyvärr har vi inga foton på dessa porträtt. Jag föreslår ett besök på Stola! Min man och jag bor sen 12 år på bottenvåningen och visar på stiftelsens uppdrag stora delar av huset för intresserade och turister. Tel 0510-18030.
