Dear Sir/Madam,
Excuse me for addressing you in the English language; I am a Dutch citizen.
I am writing the history of my family and perhaps you could help me with one question. The grandfather of my greatgrandfather is Johan August Meijerfeldt
(1725-1800), Swedish fieldmarshall under your king Gustaf III. He was the commander of the Västerbotten regiment for more than 10 years. According
to the Statens Konstmuseer (1923:461) one painting of him in his military
uniform, 83 x 66 cm, by L. Pasch jr could be found at the Royal Norbotten
Regiment.
Would you know if this painting is present in your museum of elsewhere and
whether a colour picture could be obtained? Of course any other information
about my ancestor is welcome as well.
