Hi Hugo

My name is Ronny and I’m webmaster for Värmlands Regementes Officerskår.

I’m surprised that you could find a picture of your great-great grandfather on our web. Sorry but I do not have any other picture of your great-great grandfather. But we own the painting so maybe we can take a better picture and send it to you. All the arts has been moved from the Regiment (because they are closing down) and we are waiting for a new place where we can put it up. So this means that I have big problem to take a picture today.

Yes it is OK for you to download the picture and add it to your home page.

Regards,
Ronny Lundberg

Hi Ronny,

Thank you very much for your response.

I found the picture as follows. Normally I use the “number one” search engine Google, but for one time I decided to use Alta Vista websearch and typed “Meijerfeldt”. One of the links connected me directly to your page “galleri 2”.

I would be most obliged if in future you could organise another photopraph of the painting, perhaps with more “pixels”. There is no rush. Thank you for the permission to use your present picture.

If you have a new place for the painting I would be interested to get information about that. I could pass that information on my website to anyone (perhaps myself) who would like to see the painting in reality (provided that public will be allowed to visit).

Sorry to bother you with another question. Do you know if the Officerskår has more information (e.g. paper documents) about Johan August Meijerfeldt and perhaps his son Axel Fredrik Meijerfeldt? Axel has been an officer in the Värmland regiment between 1781 and 1795. Shortly before his death, together with two other officers, Axel was sued in court (Örebro Stads Kämnärs-Rått). He died 13 January 1795 of “hitsig feber”.

Kind regards,
Hugo von Meijenfeldt

Hi Hugo

I don’t know if we have any more material about Johan August, I will listen to some other members and see if the have any information.

Today we store the paintings in Karlstad. I live very close to Karlstad. When I get the opportunity I will take some new pictures of Johan August, I don’t know when this can happened.

I also do some genealogy, I did search on a web there I’m a member www.dis.se <http://www.dis.se/> and I get the following results (see below) about Meijerfeldt. To search in the database you must be a member but if this is new information for you I maybe can help you with which people you can contact.

Hi Ronny,

Thank you very much for all the time and effort you invest in me. The least I can do is to make a hyperlink to your website as soon as I place the photograph on my website. If you could think of anything else I could help you with, don’t hesitate to ask.

The “dis” table was very interesting to me. Beate Meijerfeldt 1803 from Germany is new to me and birth data of Johan August Meijerfeldt d.ä. (Livland 1664) will help me a lot. Perhaps it is possible to copy the pages that are behind all the links “familj”. If not, I could become a member myself.

Looking forward to your next e-mail and again thank you very much.

Best regards,
Hugo von Meijenfeldt
