Dear Madam/Sir,

On your website I found a drawing in your Fine Art collection under the ID mentioned above (= PAH0755).

S’lands, fregat de Erfprins, PY0755

My greatgreatgrandfather Johan August von Meijenfeldt (1760-1835) was Constable-Major on the same ship, under the same captain, and in exactly the same years.

I take the liberty to correct a few facts in your text:
a. You left out the second word “Fregat” (meaning Frigate).
b. According to the ship’s Journal it carried indeed 34 big cannons, plus 2 small ones (all commanded by my ancestor).
c. The owners of the ship were the five Dutch Admiralities, not the Hereditary Prince of Brunswick; that was just the ship’s name, called after the husband of the Princess of Oranje-Nassau.
d. The Captain of the ship was indeed Pieter Hartsinck (later Vice-Admiral).
e. The ship sailed (“zeijlende”, not “zeylande”) in a convoy to Paramaribo, Suriname and ended in Bergen, Norway, because of a British blockade during the War of the First Coalition.

I have the following questions:
1. It seems the text continues after “Convooy”. Am I right ?
2. How do you know that A. Herstel is the artist and 1807 the year of the drawing?
3. Is there a possibility to obtain a high quality print of the drawing? The best quality of a download is 919.1 kB. That is enough for my family website (with reference to your Museum), but it does not lead to a sharp print for a framed picture on my wall.

Thank you in advance for any trouble taken.

Best regards,
Hugo von Meijenfeldt
