Dear Madam / Sir,
More than six years ago I had contact with Kerstin Gustafsson and Kerstin Hallin. I was trying to obtain a photograph of several paintings of the members of the Meijerfeldt family you have at Stola. The reason there are so many painings of my ancestors is that Clas Julius Ekeblad was the heir of his wife Brita Margaretha Horn, daughter of Anna Catharina Meijerfeldt. My mission failed because we could not organise a photographer.
I have the opportunity to travel to Lidköping myself – together with my son – just after the summer holidays (27 or 28 August 2020). Do I understand it correctly that you already close 16 August? If so, is there any possibility to make an exeption for distant relatives traveling from the Netherlands? We could skip the round tour, limit ourselves to taking photographs of the relevant paintings and pay you SEK 70 per person (or more).
Thank you in advance for any trouble taken,
and don’t hesitate to write me back in the Swedish language,
Hugo von Meijenfeldt

Hello,
you are welcome during August and September if you book time first. We have a couple of paintings on Brita Horn. I have no knowledge of the family Meijenfeldt, but may find something until you come.
Greeting
Jörgen Lindquist

Dear Jörgen,
Thank you very much for your quick and positive response.
I will make the booking timely.
On photo 10 of your website I recognise the young counts Johan August (1766-1791) and Axel Fredrik (1769-1795) Meijerfeldt in the two high hanging circle framed paintings. Below right is Brita’s father Adam Arvidsson Horn, and in the middle problably her mother Anna Catharina Meijerfeldt? In your first photo (Riksrådinnans kammare?) I recognise Brita’s grandmother Brita Barnekow. With the last two paintings I am not sure. Thank you for finding out, if possible.
Best regards,
Hugo

Hej

Again thank you very much for your quick response.
I will have to think of a way to take horizontal pictures of the two young counts. I am not as tall as the paintings are hanging, I‘m afraid.
Thanks for explaining the three pictures in the lower line. I will thus have to find the painting of Anna Catharina Meijerfeldt – mother of Brita Horn – in another slott.
Wonderful that you forwarded me the card under the painting of Brigitta Barnekow, second wife of Johan August Meijerfeldt sr (1664-1749).
Arvid Horn is interesting as well. He was the grandfather of Brita Horn. He was married to Inga Törnflycht, the sister of Anna Maria Törnflycht, first wife of Johan August Meijerfeldt sr.
With best regards,
Hugo
