Through this e-mail I take the liberty of approaching you in the English language. There is no problem to answer me in Swedish.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am Hugo von Meijenfeldt from Bilthoven,\u00a0the Netherlands. My ancestors in a straight line (be it with one natural birth in 1760) are the Swedish counts Meijerfeldt. Over the last 25 years I have researched the history of my family, wrote two books about it and published a Dutch website\u00a0www.meijenfeldt.nl.<\/a><\/span>\u00a0I travelled to Sweden several times to study documents in Stockholm (Kungliga Biblioteket, Riksarkivet) and visit estates like S\u00f6vdeborg and N\u00e4sby slott. In my books and on my website I collect amoung other things pictures of my ancestors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently I read the short history of Ekebyholm on your website, especially the following paragraph:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Arvid Bernhard Horns son, greve Adam Horn (1717-1778), satte ocks\u00e5 han sin pr\u00e4gel p\u00e5 slottet. Tillsammans med sin hustru Anna Catharina Meijerfeldt best\u00e4llde han p\u00e5\u00a01740-talet dekorationsarbetena till det vi kallar \u201dkungsrummet”, ett f\u00f6rtjusande rokoko-rum p\u00e5 slottets andra v\u00e5ning. Denna lilla kvadratiska s\u00e4ngkammare \u00e4r i huvudsak intakt bevarad, med flera hundra sm\u00e5 och stora m\u00e5lningar i taket och p\u00e5 v\u00e4ggarna. \u201dKungsrummet\u201d \u00e4r mycket sev\u00e4rt \u00e4ven om den kung som \u00e5syftas, Fredrik I, knappast sov \u00f6ver h\u00e4r hos sin f\u00f6rsm\u00e5dda m\u00e4tress Catharina Ebba Horn (1720-1781). Hon \u00e4gde Ekebyholm vid 1700-talets mitt.”<\/span><\/p>\n

I would be most obliged if you could advise me how to obtain more information and\/or photographs\u00a0of the room\u00a0and of Anna Catharina Meijerfeldt. Would it be possible to visit the\u00a0building during the summer\u00a0holidays?<\/span><\/p>\n
