sorry to address you in the English instead of the German\u00a0<\/span>language. Feel free to respond in German.<\/span><\/p>\n

I am Hugo von Meijenfeldt from Bilthoven, the Netherlands. Our family names\u00a0<\/span>are comparable, almost equal. There a more people with your family name in\u00a0<\/span>Germany. My ancestors come from Stralsund, Pommern and before 1800 their\u00a0<\/span>name was also Meyerfeldt. My question to you is: do you yourself or perhaps\u00a0<\/span>a relative know anything about your family history? I would like to compare\u00a0<\/span>and perhaps find a link. I created a website <\/span>www.meijenfeldt.nl<\/a><\/span>, in the Dutch language\u00a0<\/span>I’m afraid.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your e-mail reached me via facebook. Unfortunately I have to be very busy\u00a0<\/span>this time, but I would like to let you have a confirmation of receiving your\u00a0<\/span>mail at least.\u00a0<\/span>I do not know, if there is someone with pretty good acknowledgement in\u00a0<\/span>family history. I myself did some investigations in 1993 because of an 100th\u00a0<\/span>anniversary in business establishment.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was a very interesting experience, my brother has the results from that\u00a0<\/span>time now. By the way, our ancestors came from Pommern too, even Stralsund <\/span>was mentioned. From generation to generation they moved westbound, reaching\u00a0<\/span>Hamburg at the end of 19th century.<\/span><\/p>\n

The branch grew here, especially in the last 10 years there are raising more\u00a0<\/span>and more Meyerfeldts in the telephone books of the Hamburg region. I do not\u00a0<\/span>know anyone of them except my brother.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So far for now, maybe more some weeks ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n
